A Vision for Authentic Discipleship in the Heartland of Israel

Shalom friends,

My name is Zac Waller, and I’m the founder and president of Israel Lighthouse for the Nations. I want to share with you—plainly and honestly—the vision God has placed in our hands, and why this moment matters so much.

At its heart, Israel Lighthouse is about discipleship. Real discipleship. The kind that forms believers deeply, biblically, and faithfully—rooted in Scripture, connected to Israel, and lived out in the nations.

We carry a God-sized vision: to bring Christians from all over the world to a learning center in the heartland of Israel for immersive study—full semesters, extended programs, and eventually even multi-year learning programs. And for those who cannot come physically, we are building these same courses online, so believers everywhere can participate.

The core of this teaching is Hebraic studies for non-Jews—people from the nations who are asking sincere questions. What is Israel’s role in my faith? Why does Torah matter? How do I faithfully follow Yeshua? This is our focus. And in doing so, we are responding directly to Yeshua’s command to go and make disciples of all nations—so that the light that comes from Israel would bless all the families of the earth.

And something remarkable has happened. God has provided land. Actual land to build on. Then, a Christian organization came to us and said, “We believe in this vision, and we believe God wants us to help you.” They have brought architectural designers who are actively working on the plans, and donors who are ready to help fund construction once those designs are finalized.

So today, we are no longer just talking about ideas. God has provided land, given us a clear vision, and blessed us with partners. We believe God is on the move!

The vision for the Israel Lighthouse campus unfolds in phases. The first phase includes a lodge—a place for people to gather, eat, pray, and build community—along with a learning center that includes dorms, lecture halls, and studios. We also envision an actual lighthouse on the property—an iconic place of welcome, possibly even a small café—something tangible that represents why this ministry exists.

Phase two grows into a full residential school, serving hundreds of students at a time. Phase three is even larger—a place where thousands, and eventually tens of thousands, can come: students, visitors, and believers from the nations, all flowing toward Israel to learn, connect, and be discipled.

It is a massive vision, I know. But Scripture tells us this would happen—that the Torah would go forth from Zion, that the nations would come to Jerusalem, and that God’s definition of what is right and good would shine outward from this land. I don’t believe the vision is too big. I believe it is timely.

Our teaching will reflect this same calling. We will address antisemitism honestly—looking at where the Church has gone wrong—but we will also ask what believers can learn from the Jewish people about worship, faithfulness, and Scripture. We will teach biblical and modern Hebrew, explore the Jewish identity of Yeshua as the Son of David, and wrestle with what it truly means to bless Israel as Scripture commands.

This learning is not meant to stay in a classroom. It is experiential. It happens in the land, with the people, on the ground—allowing faith to be shaped by place, history, and relationship.

Alongside this long-term vision, we are actively developing resources. A six-week small-group study that brings Israel into churches around the world through teaching videos, devotionals, and discussion. Children’s books and homeschool materials that introduce a biblical worldview early. A prayer book for the nations, shaped by the richness of Jewish prayer. And a Torah commentary written for believers who sense that something essential has been missing.

As I continue finishing my Master of Divinity—one year remaining—I am teaching, writing, filming, guiding tours, and building Israel Lighthouse from the ground up. And like any work of obedience, this one requires partnership.

This year-end, we are believing God to raise $22,000. This allows us to cover basic ministry needs, sustain our family, and move forward faithfully with the work God has given us.

Isaiah said Israel would be a light to the nations. Yeshua commanded us to make disciples of all nations. And the prophets envisioned the nations saying, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, that He may teach us His ways.” Israel Lighthouse exists to fulfill this calling.

If this vision resonates with you, I invite you to join us. Visit israelighthouse.com, or reach out directly at info@israelighthouse.com. Your partnership—through prayer, relationship, and financial support—makes this possible.

Together, we can raise up torch-bearing servant-leaders who bless Israel and illuminate the nations.

Shalom and many blessings,

Zac Waller
